Receives and processes applications in terms of the Gauteng Gambling Act, no 4 of 1995, as amended for the following:
* Gambling facilities
* Employee registrations
* Equipment registration
* Manufacturers, suppliers and maintenance providers
* Amusement facilities
* Third party suitability

Promotes and maintains industrial relations through:
* Talent development and performance management.
* Talent planning, organizational development and central resourcing.
* Employee rewards and benefits.
* Payroll and policy development.
* Employee relations and transformation.
* Employee wellness.
* Human resource information management systems.

Identifies and implements public awareness programs aimed at promoting responsible gambling.
* Identifies socio-economic development initiatives on behalf of the Board
Receives applications for Sports Development Funding and CSI Funding.

Nkomotana began his career as a Practicing Attorney with Mankoe Incorporated in 2000, representing clients in both the public and private sectors. He moved on to the Department of Health as Senior Manager: Procurement, where he was responsible for overall strategic management, and compliance with the PFMA and other relevant legislation.

Nkomotana then served as Company Secretary and Legal Advisor to the Polokwane International Airport, Municipal Manager of the Waterberg District, and as Acting Senior General Manager in the Policy and Planning Coordination Unit in the Office of the Premier.

In 2009 he became Head of the Department of Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs in Limpopo Province, responsible for the strategic leadership of 30 municipalities, and the Headmen, Senior Traditional Leaders and Kings in the province.

He progressed to become MEC responsible for this department and later an MP in the Limpopo Provincial Legislature. Nkomotana served on the SABC Board from 2010 to 2011. In 2014, he focussed again on the legal sector, serving his pupillage with the Johannesburg Bar of Advocates until his admission to the Bar. He currently practices as an Advocate with the Duma Nokwe Group of Advocates.

He is a highly skilled business executive with more than 22 years of experience in leading and managing large companies and public sector departments in challenging and diverse environments.

Following his studies in Political Science at the University of the Western Cape he attended Florida Atlantic University in the USA where he attained a Master of Public Administration. He then worked in Washington DC, at the National Black Caucus of State Legislators. In 2004 he was awarded a Master of Business Administration from Rhodes University.

He occupied senior positions in the Eastern Cape Provincial Treasury including as Director of the Budget Office and then worked as a Chief Director at the COGTA (or DPLG as it was known then). He subsequently joined ABSA as Head of Research and Product Development and the Development Bank of Southern Africa as part of the Development Fund Unit. He was later appointed as Chief Executive Officer of the Hluma Development Investment Agency.

Prior to his appointment to the GPF Dzengwa was the Executive Director for Municipal Finance at the South African Local Government Association where he was responsible for oversight over the financial performance of municipalities.

He brings strong organisational leadership, management skills and innovative thinking to the GPF and has extensive experience of serving on the boards of organisations such as the Municipal Demarcation Board, the Johannesburg Property Company, and the Gauteng Cricket Board.

Zimbini Hill is a seasoned Media and Finance professional who is the founder of advertising and communications company Hluma Media. She was appointed as a Board Member of the Gauteng Partnership Fund (GPF) with effect from 01 February 2018.

Zimbini serves as a board member and trustee on various private, public sector and social enterprises including Social Housing Regulatory Authority (SHRA). She was previously a Board Member of the National Homebuilders Registration Council (NHBRC) where she held the position of Chairman of Fund Investment Advisory and Finance committee (FAFC) and was a Member of the Builder Registrations and Home Enrollments Committee.

Zimbini has extensive experience in the Financial Services Industry, with a career spanning across Private Equity, Mergers and Acquisitions, Investment Research, Risk Management, and Investor Relations. Maseapo is an admitted Advocate of the High Court of South Africa and a legal and governance practitioner. She has over 20 years work experience in both private and public sector. She has a strong public-sector experience, having worked in senior management positions in various government departments, both provincial and national departments.

Throughout her career, she has developed and conducted training for government and the industry in areas of corporate governance, board effectiveness, effectiveness of company secretaries, legal and compliance, as well as contract management.
